Read The Word With Us

Commit to devotion to reading God’s word this year.

It is VITAL that God’s people commit to reading His word consistently. Just as no-one would encourage eating a meal once or twice a week to be healthy and strong, we should be reading and meditating on God’s word daily as we abide in Jesus trusting Him to work in us and through us. In hopes of encouraging one another in this regard and further fostering unity amongst us, we’ve selected an adaption of Pastor Robert Murray M‘Cheyne’s bible reading plan that he presented to his people in December of 1842. See the details below.

Other Ways You Can Participate

M’Cheyne Reading Plan on Youversion:

This plan is based on the M’Cheyne reading system, featuring four different readings for use in both family and personal devotions. Each day has two passages from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from either the Psalms or the Gospels. In one year, you read the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice.

Listen to Five By The Fire Podcast (OVER 700 Episodes):

This podcast, hosted by Pastor Fury, was created to encourage God’s people in the daily pursuit of Him through His word. Each episode will be a very brief spiritual nugget referencing a passage taken from that day’s reading in the M‘Cheyne Bible reading plan.
