Read The Word With Us
We have committed as a church family to be in the word together. We have chosen a variation of a reading plan that has been in existence for 177 years and will allow us to read through the whole Bible in one year, while reading the New Testament and Psalms twice. Join the staff in this or chose another variation below. Either way…commit to devotion to reading God’s word in 2021.
It is VITAL that God’s people commit to reading His word consistently. Just as no-one would encourage eating a meal once or twice a week to be healthy and strong, we should be reading and meditating on God’s word daily as we abide in Jesus trusting Him to work in us and through us. In hopes of encouraging one another in this regard and further fostering unity amongst us, we’ve selected an adaption of Pastor Robert Murray M‘Cheyne’s bible reading plan that he presented to his people in December of 1842. See the details below.
Ways You Can Participate
This plan is based on the M’Cheyne reading system, featuring four different readings for use in both family and personal devotions. Each day has two passages from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from either the Psalms or the Gospels. In one year, you read the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice.
This podcast, hosted by Pastor Fury, was created to encourage God’s people in the daily pursuit of Him through His word. Each episode will be a very brief spiritual nugget referencing a passage taken from that day’s reading in the M‘Cheyne Bible reading plan.
Genesis through 2 Chronicles, the New Testament, and Psalms in one year.
Ezra through Malachi, the New Testament and Psalms in one year.
